Qin Chun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hengli Town, Zhao Zhijia, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Mayor of the Town, and other town leaders attended the inauguration ceremony and unveiled the first phase of BASIS Smart City into operation. In his speech, Qin Chun, secretary of the town party committee, said that the commissioning of phase 1 of BASIS Smart City has injected new momentum into the high-quality development of Hengli Town's industrial chain and rapid improvement of industrial efficiency. Hope that BASIS will vigorously grasp the production and operation management of phase 1 of the project, release the production capacity, accelerate the construction of phase 2 and phase 3, and put it into operation as soon as possible. President Hu Zuohuan said in his speech that in the future, BASIS will realize the business upgrade of "Tooling+" in this smart city, make full use of the advantage of Hengli as the key town of molds in China, take molds as the core product and integrate automatic process equipment, develop BASIS into an integrated engineering solution provider, and at the same time extend to the downstream parts industry chain, focusing on lightweight parts, power mechanism assembly and intelligent cabin parts, and devote ourselves to become the core supplier of lightweight and intelligent parts for new energy vehicles.
As a key project of Guangdong Province and a major project of Dongguan City, the construction of SILVER BASIS Smart City is an important step to build a regional high-end manufacturing cluster and help the layout of 5G new infrastructure industry. The project covers a total area of 158,000 ㎡, with a total construction area of 450,000 ㎡and a total project investment of 2 billion RMB. At present, phase 1 of the project has been completed and put into operation, while phase 2 and phase 3 have started construction last year. Among them, phase 1 uses a large number of new processes and technologies, the application of intelligent manufacturing technology throughout the whole process of manufacturing activities of product design, production, management and service, representing a high level of technology in the industry, especially the large-scale use of high-precision digital punching, laser, CNC, punching machines and other equipment. Around the semiconductor technology and application chain, it will greatly improve the overall output capacity and strengthen the enterprise innovation-driven development and core competitiveness, and provide more advanced and high-quality products and services for global customers.
